Arlene Malay - OwnerArlene has been in the beauty business since 1964 when she joined her mother and sister Judy in their salon. Arlene worked for the next 18 years in Boulder, CO. Arlene's husband Claude's career eventually led her to Arizona where she obtained her instructors license and began to specialize in skin care. She attended the advanced Institute of Aesthetics in Tucson and was privileged to be a student of Robert Diemer. Arlene eventually was instrumental in opening and accrediting three colleges in Arizona: Mesa, Tempe and Glendale. She then moved to California and was supervisor of two colleges. Arlene and Claude returned to Colorado in 1999 to take care of her aging parents. In 2004 Arlene was given the opportunity to open her own skin care college among the other beauty colleges in Denver. In 2012 Arlene was nominated as woman of the year for the National Association of Professional Women. April 2012 Arlene was continental Who’s Who Registry of National Business Leader. Arlene was appointed in June 2012 by Governor Hickenlooper to serve on the Colorado Private Occupational School Board, Division of Private Occupational Schools.] Dennis Truitt Financial Aid AdvisorDennis went to school at California State University Fresno for accounting. Dennis joined CIE 2010 to do bookkeeping and accounting as the college started growing and CIE pursued financial aid he decided to take online federal student aids courses. Now that he is the financial aid officer and the college is accredited he is busy with assist student to be able to take the basic esthetics course. Dennis has a real love for playing golf in fact at once point we wanted to go pro. So we know in Dennis spare time, he can be found on the golf course. Dennis is Arlene’s brother in law and his wife is at the college teaching courses on health and wellness. Cindy Stahl - Financial Aid AssistantCindy has been at CIE for over 6 years. Cindy is always going the extra mile and making sure everyone is taken care of. She is involved in ordering product, assisting running the front desk, inventory and setting everything up for the advanced and basic esthetic programs. Cindy is the financial aid assistant and her goal is to make sure everything runs smoothly. The college is so very grateful to all that she has created and organized at CIE. Victoria Peterson – Director of AdmissionsVictoria has been in the industry for 30 years. She began her career as an image consultant, personal shopper, putting together fashion shows and fashion/spiritual workshops. Victoria was a senior director and national trainer for a skin care company for 12 years. Ten years ago she got her esthetics license and opened up her own spa "La Dolce Vita Spa" in Colorado Springs, CO. Makayla Allison - Admissions AssistantMakayla is a former student of the College of International Esthetics. After graduating from school, Makayla attended many advanced training seminars and eventually opened her own Esthetics business and started her own organic body product line. Makayla has a Bachelors of Social Work, Minor in Psychology. She has also been a product educator for Youngblood makeup. Maggie Staszcuk - Director of EducationMaggie is a former student of the College of International Esthetics. She has been working at CIE for 3 years and been in the industry for 7 years. She has experience in the spa and medical esthetics side of the industry. Maggie attended Stephens College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Entrepreneurship and Business Management. Peggy Choate - Esthetics InstructorPeggy comes to the College of International Esthetics with a breadth of experience in the esthetics field. She is committed to going above and beyond in preparing students to become skilled estheticians. Kristen Oland – Esthetic InstructorKristen has a wonderful background in paramedical treatments and sales. She has worked for Osmotics Cosmeceuticals and Spamedica. She was a trainer/business developer for Rocky Mountain Natural Labs, best known as Sanitas, which is the line that we carry here at CIE. She is very committed to the students at CIE and Kristen’s desire is to bring a very positive energy to learning. Nancy Nation – Executive DirectorNancy's love of the esthetics field has grown and she has continued her education by attending many educational events, conferences and advanced classes. Nancy has been Supervisor of programs, as well as curriculum planning, has worked budgets and has served as a liaison to businesses through communication and advisory committees. She has proved to be an invaluable asset to her school, students and fellow instructors. Kathryn Figaro-Reifsteck – Esthetic InstructorKathryn is an experienced Licensed Esthetician of Dermatology, Cosmetic Surgery and Plastic Surgery medical esthetics. She has an enormous passion for the industry, the ability to create excellent patient/client relationships. Kathryn is certified in Laser, Vasculight, Microderm and Chemical Peels. She is excited about the opportunity to give back her experience and knowledge to the students at CIE. Jeanette Drew- Administrative and InstructorJeanette is a former student of College of International Esthetics, Inc. She has worked as receptionist and administrative work. She is certified in Permanent Makeup and Softap. Jeanette is now working as an instructor at CIE which she really enjoys and the students just love her. She is a wonderful source of joy and positive energy. Kathryn Stanford - InstructorKathryn is a former student of College of International Esthetics, Inc. She has been in the spa, retail and salon industry for a little over 6 years. She is excited about being able to share her experience with the students at CIE. Kathryn is owner of Kathryn’s Skin Care, LLC. When the opportunity presented itself to give back to others she jumps at the chance. She helped organize a drive for the victims of Hurricane Katrina and assisted with Project Angel Heart. Dr. Rebecca de la Torre - Medical Director and Laser and Injectable InstructorDr. de la Torre is a graduate of Stanford University and the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. She is board certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, Colorado Academy of Family Practice, Colorado Medical Society, and the Larimer County Medical Society. She was involved in Family Practice in Loveland for several years before focusing on skin specialties and is currently a member and Fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. While practicing in Loveland, de la Torre was named Group Publishing's Best Doctor of Northern Colorado for six consecutive years. Dr. de la Torre is also a Syneron Luminary and spokesperson on the use of Syneron Lasers at conferences nationwide. Betty Minor - Laser Safety InstructorBetty Minor, BS, RN, founded Laser Resource, Inc. in 1986. She actively consults and teaches laser safety programs for Hospitals, Surgical Centers, Laser Clinics and Medical Laser Spas across the country. She includes areas of utilization, laser audits, and laser safety evaluations to be sure the facility is in compliance with all the various regulatory agencies such as OSHA, FDA, and CDRH. Yvonne Hampson, RN - Laser and Injectable InstructorYvonne Hampson became a Registered Nurse in England and worked as a certified Nurse Midwife for 8 years in England and Saudi Arabia prior to coming to the United States. Yvonne is a Certified Facial Laser Technician with expertise in Fotofacial, Fraxel and Thermage for skin rejuvenation and acne. Yvonne has completed advanced training in Botox and derma fillers and is certified in laser vein removal and sclerotherapy. Mina Muirhead ,RN – Laser and injectable InstructorMina has trained extensively in advanced techniques with injectables and state-of-the-art lasers to provide her clients with a more youthful, natural -looking appearance. Beyond her high proficiency, Mina brings her gifts of warmth, compassion and respect to each person she comes in contact with. |
